Detalls del llibre
Un hombre vio bajar por el río
algo que flotaba. En una cesta
iba un niño. Lo había condenado
a morir el rey. Quería evitar que
se cumpliera la profecía de una
anciana que había afirmado que
se casaría con su hija. La niñez
del bebé salvado de las aguas
transcurrirá tranquila, pero su
juventud, lejos de la familia en
la que creció, estará llena de
pruebas y aventuras. ¿Llegará a
casarse con la hija del rey? ¿Llegará
a reinar? ¿O será condenado
a remar contra el destino que
arrastra a algunos hombres como
la corriente de los grandes ríos?
A man sees something floating
down-river. In a basket there is
a child condemned to death by
the king, who had wanted to
prevent a prophecy coming true.
It said that the child would marry
his daughter. The childhood of
the baby rescued from the water
passes tranquilly, but his youth,
far from the family in which he
grew up, will be filled with trials
and adventures. Will he one day
marry the king's daughter? Will
it come about that he rules? Or
will he be condemned to battle
against fate, like a man struggling
against the current of a great
river?
